Colton's First Birthday Cake

I decorated this cake and the cupcakes using Fondant. Colton's mom told me what she wanted and I tried to put it together. The little boy on top turned out looking better than I had expected. I have never tried to sculpt any characters. All in all I think it turned out okay.

Wilson County Fair (TN)

Candice (my granddaughter) entered this photo in the "Photo Journalism Category" at the Wilson County Fair. I was so pleased when she won 3rd place. I think this photo speaks volumes.
I call it "Gone but not forgotten!"

Healing Field in Murfreesboro TN - Memorial Day

It was so overwhelming to see the honor civilians gave to our Veterans. It was long overdue, but better late than never. ******* I feel we need to take care of our Military Veterans. They gave so much to keep our freedom. Please contact a VA Hospital near you and find out what the needs are. Then do as much as you can. ****** Thanks you!

Another Gift

I made this apron for another friend. When I need to try out an idea they get the firsts. They seem to enjoy them and I like to give gifts, so it works well. Please feel free to comment on the items I am making.

I love to make gifts for friends and family.

I was talking to a friend recently about my plans for making and selling aprons. She told me the type of apron she would like. She wanted a certain size and a flap on the front to dry her hands. As a surprise, I made this apron for her as a gift. I also put a pocket under the flap to hold recipes & such. I hope she likes it.

I will be mailing it tomorrow and I hope it brightens her day when it arrives. Nothing like getting a good surprise in the mail now and then.

My friend received her apron and loved it! It is so much fun to surprise a friend with a gift.
